SriLankan Air, which was one known as Air Lanka and before that Air Ceylon, is the national flagship air carrier of the Sri Lanka. The airline commenced operations in 1979 under the name Air Lanka. The airline was first founded in 1947 as Air Ceylon. It became a part of the Oneworld airline alliance on May 1, 2014.

The airline is also the largest foreign carrier flying into the Maldives, flying 30 weekly flights flying to and fro Male and Colombo.
